SUNDAY
Full Bunny Contact, in the context of your worst nightmares, both Brooklyn and Manhattan.
i don’t know about you, but i haven’t had any issues being afraid of monster easter bunny creatures since donnie darko. this event brings all of that out of your nightmares and into the very real-life stage of a caged infield. with you and two friends. armed with easter baskets and adrenaline born from sheer terror. It seems the bunnies have pads, which isn’t fair. Listen, I neither support (for legal purposes) or disapprove of this but I’m just putting it out there. It’s festive, I suppose. but just leave a comment below and let me know how it goes, huh? all details here. Check it out, because the last time you were aggressively attacked by a bunny it was at a college costume party. Where jungle juice was involved. And, I’m really sorry about that.
National Paella Day, por todos partes.
where to eat this weekend.
Rider, 80 N 6th St, Williamsburg.
where to drink this weekend.
Capri Social Club, 156 Calyer St, Greenpoint. It’s a war on dive bars. Gentrified Edison-bulbed small plated establishments on one side, and neighborhood mainstays like the Capri Social Club on the other. we are armed with our waning livers, crumbled greasy dollar bills and pleading eyes. and we will fight to the death. join me, anytime this weekend, at greenpoint favorite Capri Social Club. they have dollar jello shots, a kickass juke box, and décor that looks like it’s from every polish stoop sale in greenpoint since the 80s. its where your dreams come true, as long as your dreams involve basic rail drinks, low lighting, and a soundtrack mostly of elvis’s greatest hits. let’s just all go.
THIS. IS. IT.
there are literally no words. i am either going to be the happiest person alive, blasting on a self-[propelled jetpack of adrenaline and pure unadulterated love of humanity tomorrow morning or i am going to cash in my chips (which at this point, are made from potatoes) (and aren’t even the fancy kettle cooked kind), call my entire reason for being a loss, and leave without a trace.
LCD SOUNDSYSTEM IS PLAYING TWO SHOWS AT WEBSTER HALL.
LOTTERY HERE. or if you are one of those lucky bastards with a ticket to panorama, please. please. let me have it. PLEASE. let me have it! i need to report on it! you know i do!
