sunday in brooklyn and i have a lot in common. the restaurant, not the actual day. come on… do you think i have a lot in common with regret, depression, a loss of dignity and wallets? nope. but sunday in brooklyn with it’s bright, charming, and irresistible nature, also has an anniversary here in our fair borough in on halloween… just like me. celebrating a fledgling 1 year (compared to my 7) they still have a hell of a lot to celebrate and will be doing so with a freakshow halloween party and cocktail party complete with sideshow acts like snake dancing, sword swallowing, and stilt walking, festive punch, pumpkin kegs, tarot card readings, flash tattoos, the best small bites and vampire bites and djs all night. tickets and costumes required, one of which can be found right here. 348 wythe ave.
Halloween Dance Party at the Diamond in Greenpoint.
the diamond is always the best answer. It’s one of the last good bars in north Brooklyn, devoid of douche bags despite its relative closeness to the kent ave waterfront, and it’s withstood the test of time year after year after now ten years. It’s a diamond in the rough, and the rotating tap of microbrews always finish smooth. tonight they host their annual halloween dance party with music from dj super bueno, $1 all drafts for folks in costumes, and $5 chili dogs and tots for all. info here, 9pm-1am, 43 franklin st.
Elsewhere Opening and Halloween Party in Bushwick.

They’re Coming This Halloween: A Party at Threes Brewing in Gowanus.
live music, costume party, dancing, and late-night dj set, all in a spooky brewery in gowanus. your favorite brewery is combining all of your favorite halloween things that just so happen to pair perfectly with their gowanus-born draft beers. carving happens from 5-7pm in the backyard, costume dance party with live music from 8pm, and dj set from 9-11pm. all info here, 5pm-midnight, 333 douglass st. at threes brewing, i’ll try anything thrice.™
