I’ve found all the best ways to make it count this weekend, in your weekend guide. Read on and get out there.

Queens of the Scene Dance Party at the Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg
The legendary Brooklyn Brewery has been opening its tasting room up for more than just beers and grandma slices from that truck outside. Monthly it invites some of the best female and non-binary DJs to come and ignite their space with fresh tunes to accompany refreshing suds and obviously, plenty of space to dance. Fireside Feasts at the Wyckoff House Museum and the Lott House in Canarsie
Eat like your forefathers within the oldest structure in Brooklyn. The Wyckoff House Museum (circa 1640) invites you to a hearth-cooked meal from the original Lott family cookbook, a tour of both historic houses plus a hearth cooking demonstration, plenty of spirit tasting and likely some spirit summoning, butter churning, lawn games, and a chance to feel completely separated from the sprawling gentrification of Brooklyn as we know it. Tickets are only $20. Get yours here right now. It’s happening from 6:30-8:30pm at 1940 East 36th St.
Concerts in the Catacombs of Green-Wood Cemetery in Sunset Park
This performance, a recreation of a 15th-century play about destiny, love, and death will resonate, reverberate, and unfold within the spooky depths of the Green-Wood catacombs. Come first for a whiskey tasting and a winding walk around the historic cemetery and then into the ancient catacombs for the operatic, symphonic show. Tickets, $80 are a steal for this experience. Great American Drifters Pro-Abortion Show at Pine Box Rock Shop in Bushwick
I hate the stigma that is often attached with being from the south. And the recent, unfortunate decisions being made by nearsighted politicians there has not helped. Come revel with a cause this weekend with an event that celebrates the good parts of the south (or at least helps us laugh a little about it) while helping to overturn the bad parts. The Great American Country Drifters will be playing country tunes and highlighted with some witty stand-up routines at Pine Box Rock Shop while raising money for the Yellowhammer Fund. Admission is free, but bring a donation. This is important, y’all. Info here. The event starts at 9:30pm. 12 Grattan St.
Day Party at MoMA PS1 Summer Warm Up in LIC
There’s no denying that the nightlife in this city is damn impressive, but what about the daylife? Day parties and summertime in Brooklyn go hand-in-hand and also slip from our grasp when the seasons change. My favorite one in town is at MoMA PS1, every Saturday through Labor Day. World-renowned DJs, free art viewing, and all your favorite local eateries and drinkeries ready to serve you all day and into the night as you shake those hips in the museum’s backyard and sculpture garden.
