So we’ll suffer through the cold for a little longer, says the muskrat. We’ll keep bundling up and hunkering down and drinking hot toddies and keeping each other warm. And we’ll do it together. Because the only way to get through it is to keep moving and breathing and loving and doing all of the amazing things that make us feel alive. I’ve found a handful of those things, and I’ve put them together for you right here, in your Weekend Guide.
Come along now, no time to waste.
THURSDAY

Candle Making Workshop at Keap Candles in South Slope.
Wicked, baby. Wick it. Let’s face it, candles are expensive, but nothing brings warmth and light and love into our humble little shoebox apartments then a candle. Come learn the nearly lost art of candle making and pouring, and light your lover’s fire this Valentine’s Day with a warm, thoughtful gift that says, “Let’s heat things up, baby” that won’t burn a hole in your pocket. If I missed any good puns, please leave them below in the comment box. Info and tickets here, 67 35th st, unit C415 at Keap Candles candlemaking workshop; when you dip I dip we dip.™
And when you’re done, hunker down at Camperdown Elm, just down the street, and relax with a bottle of wine and all of the beautiful creations from Brad Willit’s heart and hands and wax poetic about the days before you knew how to make candles.
